This portion of the website is meant to help prepare models for a shoot with Jason Lanier. We discuss the two different options for shooting with us which include: TFI (Time For Images) and PTM (Pay to Model). These choices offer different options available to the model and to Jason Lanier Photography to help yield the best results possible. We hope you're ready for an amazing shoot and we can't wait to work with you soon!
TFI- Time For Images
Time for Images (TFI) is an arrangement where the model is receives images as compensation for modeling at a Jason Lanier workshop or a scheduled shoot.
PTM- PAY TO MODEL
Pay to Model (PTM) is an arrangement where Jason pays the model via PayPal for modeling at a Jason Lanier Workshop or a scheduled shoot.
policies & Expectations FOR TFI and PTM shoots
Jason has been shooting models for a long time. As a leader in the photography industry Jason knows what goes into making shoots successful. As such Jason has the following rules and requirements for his TFI and PTM shoots.
Cellphones- Cellphones are only allowed to be used during designated break times.
Wardrobe - Based on the shoot’s concept, the model will discuss wardrobe options with Jason. Most often, you can’t go wrong with a dress and heels! Also accessories and props photograph really nicely, so we encourage the model to wear or bring: jewelry, fashion hats, glasses, gloves, stockings, watches, etc. Jason can be contacted via email at jason@jlpros.com.
Hair/Make Up- No MUA will be provided; please come hair and makeup ready. We prefer dramatic makeup, as if you were going to a wedding or doing a fashion shoot.
Escorts- are allowed for minors only. Minors may be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. These are large group educational settings where Jason teaches photographers how to shoot and work with models, image composition, posing, and lighting. We ask that adult models refrain from bringing escorts to maintain professional etiquette. When adult models bring an escort they typically end up being a distraction to the model, thus hindering his/ her work performance. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy please reach out to us.
Video- filming can take place for potential use by Jason Lanier Photography for marketing, Youtube etc.

model spots are often filled up quickly. Please be sure to submit the release if interested and we will contact you and confirm. Thank you.
*Please note: having a good team driven attitude is imperative. Jason works best with people who are friendly, diligent, and passionate. In order to optimize your chances to have individualized shoot time with jason, it is recommended you remain friendly, kind, flexible, and are up to try anything to get the best shot!!! If you really want to get the most out of this experience, come with a cool costume with props and accessories.
