First off, any bride that I've ever had, or will ever have doesn't fall into this category. Why? Because if you've booked with me I can already tell that you aren't a Bridezilla. Too many photographers out there let everyone push them around, and that's a huge mistake. Believe it or not Brides actually prefer it when you have the confidence and experience to lead the shoot. If you know what you're doing, the last thing they wanna do is boss you around and direct the shoot. Not all, but but if a bride is going to lose it, it'll be because the people around them don't know what they're doing.

While I many times do have assistants at my shoots, there are many times when I don't. And when I started off in photography I couldn't get any assistants and so I had to figure out how to shoot on my own. So my style is really predicated upon being able to get amazing results, even with no help. This production shot was taken yesterday at my Miami Workshop where I put a Rotolight onto the end of a Monopod and lit the model while still being able to shoot. This was taken 1 minute before the cops showed up and threw us out....

Ever needed to create a studio look outside? Well, that's what I did last night at my workshop. Having portable LED lights and a few tripods can enable you to do just that...and the results are AMAZING! Can't wait to share pics!!

HAHA, we had such an amazing time at this place yesterday! We did the group shots and the group wanted me to create a fun pose of them taking my picture. I had the Lady Gaga song playing in my head the rest of the day...I just love my workshop attendees because they are such a blast. We had such a great time yesterday. This image was taken about 15 minutes before the cops came...lol

This image was taken at my workshop in Miami last night in the Wynwood area which is the artistic portion of downtown where all the crazy people like me congregate. There are so many advantages to using video light over flash in a situation like this one. For starters it's easier to focus and pose the model because you can see. Secondly there is no bounce back nasty reflection on the wall from a flash being fired. Third, you can get beautiful even lighting over a great portion of the wall. I love my Rotolights!!

This image was taken at my children's shoot in Clayton North Carolina earlier this month for Sully and Jefferson. We were able to shoot at a farm and it was an awesome place to shoot. With kid shoots you only try to capture what they are doing while giving them parameters that will work for your shoot. Don't ever try to to completely control them, it just won't work.
