Listed below are important details and frequently asked questions to help prepare you to work with jason lanier AND HIS TEAM.

*What is a portraiture workshop? A portraiture workshop is where jason Lanier teaches 5-10 photographers from around the world various aspects of photography over the course of 2-3, eight hour days. These are typically large group, educational settings.

*What is your role? Your role is to be the subject of the shoot. Jason will teach and the photographers will employ the techniques taught.

*Model Duration? Although you are required to be present all 8 hours, you will only be modeling about four hours a day. The other four hours will account for jason teaching, a paid lunch break, and drive time to and from shoot locations throughout the workshop.

*Punctuality: If you are late there is A HIGH PROBABILITY THAT JASON WILL NOT SHOOT YOU AND YOU MUST CONTACT EMILY IMMEDIATELY. PLEASE DON’T WASTE JASON’S OR YOUR OWN TIME.

*Compensation: MODELS HAVE THE OPTION TO EITHER RECEIVE IMAGES FROM JASON LANIER, OR BE PAID BY JASON LANIER. PLEASE SEE MODEL RELEASE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

*What’s Included? Models will receive Agreed upon compensation (pay or images). Models will receive a paid Meal and Transportation to the different locations during the workshop if need be.

*What’s Not Included? HAIR/MAKEUP, WARDROBE, Gas, Parking, Bus Fare to and from the shoot location.

*USE OF CELLPHONES: Cell phones can be used during designated breaks.


Styling

*WARDROBE: FASHION/ LIFESTYLE or a Dress and Heels. solid colored shirts or tops tend to photograph the best. sometimes we shoot outside so bring a jacket, weather dependent. We encourage use of Jewelry and accessories (i.e. vintage hats, gloves, watches, glasses etc).

*HAIR/ MAKEUP: Please come hair and makeup ready. Makeup should be dramatic, as if you were going to a wedding, or participating in a fashion shoot (i.e. bold eyeshadow, lip stick, etc).

Due to Jason’s high level of talent and experience, model spots are often filled up quickly. Please be sure to submit the release if interested and Emily will contact you and confirm. Thank you.

*Please note: having a good team driven attitude is imperative. Jason works best with people who are friendly, diligent, and passionate. In order to optimize your chances to have individualized shoot time with jason, it is recommended you remain friendly, kind, flexible, and are up to try anything to get the best shot!!! If you really want to wow jason, come with a cool costume with props and accessories.
