*What is a closing the gap workshop? A closing the gap workshop is a two day, eight hour hands on course where jason teaches you his systematic approach to light, pose, and compose an image.

Objective:  The purpose of this hands-on, interactive, portfolio building workshop is to help you gain more comfort, practice, and confidence posing, lighting, and composing your images.  Join Jason and let him show you how to keep photography simple.     

Learner Outcomes: 

  1. Maximize your own gear

  2. Describe and implement ways to modify natural and artificial light.

  3. Employ proper lighting techniques given the lighting circumstance throughout the day.

  4. Demonstrate adequate compositional framing for portraiture photography.

  5. Describe foundational components to flatter the body when posing.

Previous attendees have stated that some of the most beneficial aspects of Jason’s Closing the Gap workshops are the individualized 1:1 Critiques. During this time, you can ask jason anything. Some people like to receive feedback on their shots, others like hints to jumpstart their business. Whatever your question may be, you will have allotted 1:1 opportunity with Jason and may use it however you deem to be most beneficial.
