Bridals in Earlsboro, Oklahoma, images of wedding photography

www.funphotoworkshops.com

This image was taken at my Oklahoma Workshop of the beautiful bride Sidney White during my shoot in Earlsboro.  One thing I like to teach at my workshops is using off camera triggers and flashes and that's what I did with this shot.  I really loved shooting Sidney and know her wedding will be beautiful!

Romance at Squires Castle at my destination wedding in Ohio

www.destinationphotographerneeded.com

This image was taken during my First Reveal for Matt and Jenna at Squires Castle in Ohio.  As you can see it was wintertime, but the couple didn't mind braving the cold for a First Reveal so they could make the most out of their time with me.  I find that a lot of destination wedding couples will elect to either do a First Reveal or Couple Shoot after the wedding so they can capture great images of their special destination wedding. Do you like the wedding rings hanging in the tree?

Manly Harbor Australia, Destination Wedding by Jason Lanier

www.destinationweddingphotographerneeded.com

This image was taken at my wedding for Mike and Melodie in Manly Beach which is about 45 minutes out of Sydney.  During the ceremony it started pouring and everyone started worrying about what impact it would have on the wedding photography.  Having an extensive landscape photography background, I smiled and said, "Well, if the weather turns this could actually be AMAZING!"  Well, once the rain dissipated we got the most beautiful clouds to come in and give us great shots.  You can actually see the raindrops still sitting on the railing because we shot this about 5 minutes after the rain stopped.

Wait for Me!...at a Catalina Island Destination Wedding

www.destinationweddingphotographerneeded.com

This image was taken at my destination wedding for Philip and Randi at Catalina Island just off the coast of Southern California.  It was a beautiful day for a wedding and we definitely made the most of it!  This was taken during the First Reveal before the ceremony...and I have to say I'd be hard pressed for find a bride more daring with her dress more than Randi...she really made it possible to get these shots!  Thanks Philip and Randi for letting me be part of your amazing day!

This image was taken at my wedding for Aaron and Daryl at the Mosteller Mansion in Hickory North Carolina where I shot one of my destination weddings.  They have a beautiful bridal room and I was so honored to shoot the wedding there for Aaron and Daryl...I just love that couple.  For this image I stood on top of a chair to get the higher perspective which I think really worked for this shot.  Hope you like it!

Camera settings: Nikon D800, 1/80 sc at f/4.0, 17mm at ISO 1600, flash fired.  Taken at 4:51pm.

Weddings in Disney- Mickey and Minnie Cutting the Wedding Cake

Disney is the only place where I've ever been able to shoot with characters as part of the wedding...truly a unique and awesome experience!  This image was taken at my wedding for Christina and Ransen at Disneyland for their wedding in disney and was done while the bride and groom were preparing for the cake cutting.  I just love how you can sense the excitement from these two even though technically you can't see the looks on their faces....well, not the humans at least....:)

Camera settings: Nikon D3, 1/160 sec at f/6.3, 16mm at ISO 3200, flash fired.  Taken at 8:53pm.

What Love Looks Like from Sydney, Australia

This image was taken during my couple shoot at my destination wedding for Mike and Melodie in Sydney, Australia. This was towards the tail end of the shoot where I had the couple dance on the docks of the Sydney Harbor with the Sydney Opera House in the background.  We used a video light to illuminate the bride and groom and shot at high ISO to bring in the background.

Next Workshop: Tucson, Arizona- February 12th and 13th

Camera settings: Nikon D3, 1/80 sec at f/2.0, 20mm at ISO 5000, flash did not fire.  Taken at 9:17pm by Jason Lanier in Sydney, Australia.

I wanted to share a client video testimonial that we shot during the Armenian wedding for Sam and Alvina in Glendale, California.  This was filmed at the tail end of the Reception at Anoush Banquet Hall after we shot for over 17 hours!  I love the passion and fun this couple had and I can't wait to see their family grow and be part of it.

Photographers, are you getting your clients to give you testimonials and reviews?  If you aren't, you should....
