A Day at the Park

www.jasonlanier.com

This image was taken at my family shoot for the Huang family in Westlake Village two days ago.  James and Kathryn were my wedding clients from a few years back and they (as do many clients) asked me to take their family portraits.  I love how the very gently swung Mia back and forth as they walked down the bridge of the Pagoda.  I really do love doing family sessions!

Camera settings: Nikon D800,  1/800 sec at f/5.6, 18mm at ISO 50, flash fired.  Taken at 12:08pm.

Children in Photography, Posing in an abandoned house

This image was taken of my shoot with Sullivan in Clayton, North Carolina.  We found an abandoned house and I posed him on the outside porch.  He is such a good little model that it made it so much fun to do this shoot!

Camera settings: Nikon D800, 1/500 sec at f/4.0, 20mm at ISO 640, flash did not fire.  Taken at 6:49pm.

Children Photography in an abandoned house in North Carolina

This image was taken on my shoot for Sully and Jefferson in Clayton, North Carolina.  I don't know how many photographers that would take children (with their Mom) inside of an abandoned house for a shoot, but we did....and it was AWESOME!  Used my Rotolights for this shot.

Camera settings: Nikon D800, 1/125 sec at f/4.0, 16mm at ISO 500, flash did not fire.  Taken at 6:15pm.

Let's Saddle Up the Horses...

www.funphotoworkshops.com- Don't forget to sign up for my webinar on shooting weddings that is happening tonight!

This image was taken at my children's shoot in Clayton, North Carolina of my two favorite little cowboys, Sully and Jefferson.  This was such a fun shoot because we were able to do this at a real farm with all the fixings...and later on we took shots with horses and cows as well.  Such a great time and thanks to their Mom Jaime Ackley who flies me out there once a year to take their images...I just love shooting these guys!

Camera settings: Nikon D800, 1/1250 sec at f/4.0, 16mm at ISO 50, flash did not fire.  Taken at 4:44pm on April 1, 2013 by Jason Lanier.

"No Girls Allowed!" Rebuilding the Boys Club House

This image was taken a year and a half ago in Juneau Alaska.  While there to do my landscape photography we happened upon this tiny shack in the middle of nowhere and I immediately thought, "Oh my gosh, that looks like a place I would love to have as a clubhouse if I was a little boy.  So we went to the store, bought outfits for my boys, got tools, and did a full fledged shoot there right in Juneau.  I'll tell you what, it really was awesome and I'm glad I take these opportunities to do shoots with my own kids as well.  And yes, they are triplets....
