A Classic Bridal Portrait

Sometimes you can't beat a classic, and when a client or the Mother of a client requests that you take a classic type portrait, you do it...and you do it well.  It doesn't take much time but it can make all the difference in pleasing your client and thrilling your client.  I shot this one using a step ladder to give it a better perspective.  Hope you like it!

One Last Look...

This is the image taken of Alvina after she had just finished and was ready to start her wedding day.  I just love the last look because it tells so much about the bride who's ready to enter the world of marriage....

Jason Lanier Shooting at the Eiffel Tower in Paris France

This is a production shot of the unbelievable shoot I did at the Eiffel Tower yesterday in Paris France.  It was so amazing because it had been raining in France and Germany for a week straight.  The minute I arrived in Paris, the clouds parted and I was given an amazing canvas to paint with.  I can't wait to share it will all of you!  Thanks to my two amazing models Ashley and Farrah and my Parisian Assistant Jean Christoff!

Bridals by Jason Lanier

This image was taken at my wedding for Sako and Alvina in Los Angeles, CA earlier this month.  This shot was developed with Lightroom, but no photoshop was done at all.  I tilted the shot because I loved how it went with the branches of the tree in the room.  Hope you like it!

One of my All Time Favorite Bride and Bridesmaids Shots Ever

This was shot at a wedding at the Montage Resort two and a half years ago in June 2010.  I had them face the ocean and then one by one had them turn.  I positioned their bodies in the right place that I wanted them, and then told one of my many infamous stupid jokes that made all of them burst into laughter.  The result was this image.  And yes, it's all real. Thanks to Eric and Michele for allowing me to be part of their amazing day.  Can you tell I'm getting ready to launch the new website?!

Camera settings: Nikon D3, 1/100 sec at f/5.0, 38mm at ISO 1250, flash fired.  Taken at 7:15pm on June 6, 2010 by Jason Lanier.

Reflections of a bride at the Mosteller Mansion

This image was taken of my bride Daryl at the Mosteller Mansion last week during my wedding there for her and her husband Aaron.  It is an absolutely gorgeous venue with an abundance of places to shoot.  Every photographer loves mirrors and this place doesn't disappoint with numerous mirrors, especially in the bridal room, that make it so fun to shoot.  It of course doesn't hurt to have a BEAUTIFUL bride like Daryl as well!
