Landscape Workshops with Jason Lanier- Next Up, Colorado in 2 weeks!

www.funphotoworkshops.com

I always say that the best photographers in the world are landscape photographers.  Why?  Because we have to work around so many elements that are out of our control.  Rain, snow, sun (or lack thereof), whether or not we are blessed with the right amount of clouds etc.  And then those who decide to incorporate landscape photography into their fashion, wedding etc. have even more of an advantage.

Well, this image was taken at my Yellowstone landscape workshop in June.  Shot with a slow exposure during sunrise to capture the mist and spray coming off of a geyser.

Next up!  Rocky Mountain National Park in 2 weeks!!!!

Camera settings: Nikon D800, 4 sec at f/20, ISO 50, flash did not fire.  Taken at 5:46am.

My Journey Through Scotland

www.funphotoworkshops.com

This image was taken along a lone road in Scotland about 150 miles north of Edinburgh.  Scotland is such an amazing place that I've decided that my next webinar series will be a tutorial on landscapes, as seen through my own journey through Scotland.  Stay tuned for details.

Camera settings: Nikon D800, 1/160 sec at f/4.0, 16mm at ISO 2000, flash did not fire. Taken at 4:53pm on January 6, 2013 in Scotland by Jason Lanier.

Martin Luther King Memorial Inauguration Morning

This image was taken inauguration morning in Washington DC at the Martin Luther King Memorial.  Due to the time of the morning the sun was coming in and lighting the face of the memorial which gave it some great contrast between the face and the sides of the memorial.  It was a VERY cold morning, but I'm glad we made the trip because it was awesome to be there for history.
