Shooting a photojournalistic wedding at the Christmas House Inn and Gardens

www.weddingphotographersinsoutherncalifornia.com

Every bride is different, and it's very important to understand their individual needs.  As an artist it's easy to get caught up into yourself, and to think that you should take no direction.  Well, I learned a long time ago that there is a balance between artistic vision and client needs and desires.  Yes, my clients hire me because want my style of work which is GREAT!  But it's also very important to listen to your clients and what STYLE of your work they are looking for...

My wedding couple here wanted a completely unposed wedding photography product.  Some photographers might be concerned at such a notion...but when you think about 80% of your wedding is photojournalism anyways right?  You can't pose the first dance, the daddy daughter, toasts, reception, etc.

This moment was captured following an emotional ceremony and as they left the ceremony site they just couldn't help but embrace for a passionate moment with each other.  Thank you for letting me shoot your wedding Kristin and Chad!

Camera settings: Nikon D700, 1/200 sec at f/5.6, 105mm at ISO 1600, flash did not fire.  Taken at 5:33pm.
