Jason Lanier Pairs the Godox AD200 Pro with the Rotolight Illuminator at his Photo Walk in Miami, Florida

After Jason’s Florida Keys Private Boat Workshop Adventure, Jason and Emily hosted a two-hour photo walk in Miami. At the photo walk, Jason reviewed proper exposure, composition, and posing. He introduced both LED lighting and Flash. Most of the attendees had Godox products and had questions about their own gear. A key aspect of the workshops is that Jason wants to help show you how to maximize the gear that you have. Let’s face it, most people don’t always have the fancy setups, so it is important to help show you what you can create with more budget-friendly products.

The set up: Jason started out with a tripod and swapped the top plate out with the gorilla pod headpiece. You have to think outside of the box and get creative, my friends. Always try all the options. So with the top of the gorilla pod on the tripod, Jason then attached the Godox AD200 Pro ontop. The Godox AD200 Pro kit comes with an umbrella bracket. This was great because Jason modified the setup with the Rotolight Illuminator. Jason faced the AD200 Pro backward and the reflective surface inside the Rotolight Illuminator let out extremely soft light.

Take a look at the images below to see Jason’s results using the Sony A7Riii, Sony Zeiss 50mm, Godox AD200 Pro and Rotolight Illuminator.

Just before everyone left, Jason photographed the attendees using the light setup. It was a really great time and we are thankful that you guys came out to learn, laugh, and create with us. Super huge thanks to Chelsie and Wilmarie; you ladies did a terrific job.
