This image was actually taken after the temple ceremony for this couple, but I love how it looked like they were heading towards the building to get married. Loved shooting this couple and I'm just posting like crazy since we're working on social media right now...:)

This image was taken at my wedding at Disneyland just before the Reception. I went outside and caught Mickey and Minnie preparing to come into the Reception Hall and they sure delivered. They went right into character mode and posed for me...just a ton of fun!

Having a 1 handed lighting set up can be criticial to getting an amazing shot. As you all know I LOVE my Rotolights and when paired with my MeFoto Tripods the combination is just perfect. Many video lights are very heavy and as a result very hard to manage. The Rotolights are perfect for creating an outdoor studio environment. LOVE THESE LIGHTS!

This image was taken at my workshop in Miami earlier this month. I placed my Nikon SB910 on the right and then using 2 Pocket Wizard TT5's with my Ray Flash I fired the flash against the model to cast her shadow on the wall to the left. Hope you like it!

This is a production image taken at the Oklahoma workshop on Day where I'm showing the group how to use a monopod with a Rotolight attached to the end of it to put the light exactly where you want it to go. I made this little configuration back in February at WPPI which is where I found the Rotolights and the MogoPod by Carry Speed that I love.
The reason it works so well is because the MogoPod is so fast to open and close while the Rotolight is very light so it's really easy to maneuver on the end of the monopod.
I always tell my workshop attendees that one of the key lessons to learn by coming to my workshops is learning what gear you need rather than having it all by the time you come to the workshop. Saves you lots of money by not having to buy things before you see them in use at a real shoot...

Typically I don't have to do too much comforting to my workshop attendees during my workshop (we save that for the Supernatural Shoots), but due to Peggy Hogan scaring Tasha I really had no choice...:)
We were at this abandoned train station and Peggy kept running back and forth making Tasha believe there was someone in the building. Tasha was claiming to see shadows but we ruled those out as just light being cast by the video lights. Poor Tasha!
A fun time was had by all including dancing, many laughs, and great shots. Thanks to all who came!

This image was taken at my workshop in Oklahoma last week. We found this awesome old train station and were so elated to shoot here. This was the portion of the workshop where I was teaching about exposure, composition and using on camera flash. Many photographers make the mistake of thinking they don't need to use flash during the day...well, you do.
For this image I posed our model Angel in the doorway, and then used my Nikon SB910 flash on my D800 to throw the flash/fill light over to the model. Understanding how to use flash greatly impacts your ability to set your overall exposure. Thanks Angel for being such a great model!
