*Skill Level: The workshop is tailored to all skill levels due to 1 on 1 critiques
*Necessary Gear: All attendees should have a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. Camera brand doesn’t matter. Lights or advanced lenses are not required. You will have access to lighting equipment at the workshop.
*Group Size: between 8-12 people. We like to keep the group sizes small to allow for a better learning environment where every attendee can get individual training from Jason.
*What’s Included? Tuition, all ground transportation during the workshop for anyone who needs it.
What’s Not Included? Hotel Accommodations, Airfare (if needed), and meals are the responsibility of the workshop attendee.
Key Components of Learning for This Course:
Shooting: Compose your images purposefully. Understand components related to cutting images and blending and balancing your background.
Posing: Given individualized time slots, Gain first-hand experience posing the models and directing a shoot.
LIGHTING: LEARN HOW TO USE AND MODIFY MULTIPLE SOURCES OF ARTIFICIAL LIGHT AND MORE.
Editing: LEARN HOW TO Edit like Jason in Lightroom and Photoshop.
Creative Directing: Jason will teach you how to direct, perform and fulfill a creative shoot in it’s entirety (i.e, lighting, Optimal gear selection for the scenario, model wardrobe, model makeup, communication, posing and more) .
THIS IS A COURSE THAT WILL PUSH YOU TO CREATE YOUR OWN RESULTS WHERE EACH ATTENDEE HAS DEDICATED PERSONAL TIME TO SHOOT THE MODELS WHERE THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES POSING AND DIRECTING THE MODEL. IT’S ABOUT MAKING YOU More readily prepared FOR future shoots $$.
1 on 1 Critiques: Each Attendee will have dedicated personal time with Jason to be able to review their images and ask him any questions they have to further their progress.
The critiques have been one of the favorite parts of the workshop for attendees as they get to ask anything they want and get honest and constructive feedback on their work so they know where they need to improve and get crucial tips on how to succeed.
THE FIRST DAY OF THE WORKSHOP IS FOCUSED ON meeting the attendee where they are at. Jason will review the attendee’s portfolio and give them tips and tricks to get the most of out the workshop, enhance their business/ hobby, and how to grow. Day 1 will include heavy instruction and hands-on shooting.

ON DAY 2, THERE WILL BE STATIONS WHERE THE MODELS ARE READY TO WORK WITH YOU AND YOUR FELLOW PHOTOGRAPHERS FOR SOME REALLY OUTSTANDING IMAGERY. EACH PHOTOGRAPHER WILL BE GIVEN INDIVIDUALIZED TIME WITH THE MODELS SO THEY CAN CREATE THEIR OWN WORK THAT THEY CAN USE IN THEIR PORTFOLIOS. THIS WILL BE A LONG AND FUN DAY WHERE THE CREATIVITY FLOWS, AND YOUR EDUCATION EXPLODES.
DAY 2 TAKE-AWAYS: PORTFOLIO BUILDING, DIRECTING A SHOOT, GAIN INCREASED CONFIDENCE POSING MODELS, PRACTICE ASPECTS OF COMPOSITION TAUGHT ON DAY 1.
This is the day we recap and review images taken over the past few days. We get together for an in class editing session where Jason shows you how he edits from start to finish and the workflow for success. In the world of photography TIME IS MONEY. The photographers who not only deliver an excellent product, but also do it QUICKLY are the ones who are successful. We will show you how to do both.
